In its latest concern Zimbabwe’s opposition party the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has accused President Emmerson Mnangagwa of militarising villages around the country saying they have proof pointing to the fact that thousands of army officers in civilian attire have been deployed into the countryside for the purposes of carrying out clandestine political campaigns on behalf of Zanu-PF. But, Mnangagwa has assured regional leadership that peaceful elections will be held later this year.
