Description

Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has fired his vice Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, after he accused Mnangagwa of fanning factionalism in Zanu-PF and plotting to overthrow the 93-year-old ruling party leader. This came just a day after the first lady reportedly declared that the under fire vice president should be gone from both the government and Zanu-PF before the congress. This move has been seen by some as clearing the way for President Mugabe’s wife Grace Mugabe to succeed him.
