Lori La Bey talks with Kaylee Tilton, a Music Therapist and Joe Kaufman who is completing his BA in music therapy and is currently interning with Aegis Living where they both work. Today they discuss the power of music and the profound impact it has on not only those with dementia but everyone. They tell us how music therapy can be leveraged and personalized to an individual, helping improve a person's mood (agitated to calm, sad to happy...) and how it can help release energy and ignite fun just to name a few uses.
