Fears are mounting that there might be an outbreak of violence in Kenya following opposition leader Raila Odinga's announcement that he won the elections, even although the country's Independent Electoral Board is yet to release final results. In 2008, 1400 people died and over half a million were displaced. People died following clashes between rival parties over disputed election results. Observers declared Tuesday's elections free and fair saying any complaints that parties had must be taken to the relevant bodies. The final election results are expected to be announced today.
