NUMSA says it is still to decide as a collective whether Workers Party will contest the 2019 General Elections. General Secretary Irvin Jim says the union has been working overtly and covertly on establishing a socialist political party. Numsa has also recjected the endorsement of Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa as next president and likened him to the DA.
