Prisoners countrywide have threatened to embark on a shut down over delays in the parole process for prisoners sentenced to life. A strike recently broke out at the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional facility over the same issue. The inmates are demanding that their matter be prioritised by the Justice and Correctional Services Department. But Correctional Services Spokesperson Logan Maistry says the department is attending to the matter.
