Evening Meditation

We can read about God’s love, quote Scripture, and even teach others—but until we truly experience it for ourselves, it remains incomplete. In tonight’s heartfelt reflection, Britt Mooney explores the difference between knowing about God and experiencing His love in relationship.

In Ephesians 3:19, Paul prays:

“… and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Using the Greek words gnonai (experiential knowing) and gnosis (intellectual knowledge), Paul draws a line between head knowledge and heart transformation. Just like a mission trip can’t be fully explained unless you've lived it, God’s love must be personally encountered to be fully known.

Britt reminds us that Christianity is not just theology or information—it’s about real communion with the living God. When we open our hearts to truly receive His love, that love changes us from the inside out. It fills us with the fullness of God and overflows into how we love others.
