As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. I Peter 4:10-11

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. I Corinthians 12:11

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:11-12

Motivational Gifts
God's intention and command to us is for us to perform all seven activities.

1. Declaring truth:
• I Corinthians 14:1 "Make love your aim and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy (proclaim truth)."
2. Serving:
   • Galatians 5:13 "Through love serve one another."
   • Colossians. 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, do your. work heartily, as for the Lord. .. .. It is the Lord Christ who you serve."
   • Matthew 20:25-28 - Greatest in the Kingdom
3. Teaching:
   • Colossians 3:16 "Teach and help one another along the right road with your psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. . ."
   • Matthew 28:20 "... Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you."
4. Exhortation:
   • Hebrews 3:13 "… Exhort one another daily, while it is called today."
   • Hebrews 10:25 "... Exhorting one another; and so much the more, as we see the day approaching."
5. Giving:
   • Matthew10: 8 "Freely you have received, freely give."
   • Luke 6:38 "Give and it shall be given unto you.."
   • Romans12:13 "Distribute to the necessity of the saints. "
6. Ruling:
   • I Timothy 3:4 "A father must manage his own household well. . ."
   • Proverbs 17:2 "A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causes shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren."
   • Proverbs 16:32 ". He that rules his spirit is mightier than he that takes a city. "
7. Mercy:
   • Luke 10:37 After illustrating mercy in the account of the good Samaritan, Jesus said, "Go and do likewise."
   • Galatians 6:2 "Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ."
