MATURITY (aka: growing up) is an expectation God has for ALL His children. (John 10:10)
Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Jesus didn’t come to make you a good religious person, He came to make you a CHILD of God.
Jesus didn’t come to make you a NICE person, He came to make you a NEW person.
You can, and many do, KNOW and BELIEVE the truth, but continue living the false life. (Matthew 7:21; James 2:17-20; 1John 2:1-2; 2Peter 2:17-22)
1. We must EMBRACE (give in, surrender to) our new/real Identity.
2. We must LEARN and GROW in our new/real Identity, what it means to be a child of God in the family of God. (John 8:31-32)
3. This is a PROCESS that takes TIME and EFFORT. (Romans 12:1-2)
