This past Sunday, we continued in Mark 13:14–23. Jesus is never caught off guard by our difficult circumstances—He sees them, knows them, and calls us to trust Him through them. We were reminded to stay alert and discerning, especially against false messiahs and distorted versions of Christianity that promise glory without suffering.
He will hold us fast. Give your life to Christ and walk in the joy and security of His love. Give your life to the world, and you'll find only anxiety and emptiness. Church, take heart—He loves us, and He will return for us.
