Description

Duygu Kaya was a rider at the delivery service Gorillas and was part of organizing a so called wildcat strike in 2021. In this episode, she tells Selvi and Ella about the working conditions they faced, how workers got organized and about their struggle.

Duygu got fired right away and took Gorillas to court to fight how they treated workers - and at the same time takes on the restrictive jurisdiction based on former Nazi judge Hans Carl Nipperdey from the 1950s. We discuss the importance of a comprehensive right to strike and the campaing Duygu is involved in to achieve it.

What would change if we got rid of the illegalization of "wildcat" and political strikes? What could that mean for feminists, antiracists and migrant workers?
