This week’s key takeaway:
Save lives with this essential workshop equipment

Episode intro:
By listening to today’s podcast you might somebody’s life! This is a bit different to what we normally promise you on the pod, but trust us on this: we’re telling the truth. In this episode you’ll find out how important it is to have a defibrillator in your place of work and just how easy it is to use one.

We speak to Andrew White from Defib For Life. Andrew was a paramedic who, when off-duty, tried to save the life of Stephen Buckman, a Rupertswood footballer who had suffered a cardiac arrest in the dressing room before a game. If only there was a defibrillator on site, Stephen would probably be alive today.

Alongside Stephen’s mother, Sue, Andrew was determined to raise awareness about the need for defibrillators in sports clubs and public places. If it would have saved Stephen then it might just save someone in your workplace someday. Take note!
