On this installment of The PAPER STREET Podcast, Shawn and Becky are joined by Bears Rebecca Fonté, a seasoned film festival programmer, journalist, and filmmaker, whose short films have played in nearly 200 festivals around the world. She is also the founder of Austin's Other Worlds Film Festival and currently serves as the Artistic Director of aGLIFF, the oldest Queer film festival in the Southwest.
The hosts talk with Bears about her career, the ins and outs of festival programming, her unique experiences both working and attending them, tips on how and when to submit (and not to submit) films, and some highlights from this year's virtual edition of Sundance. Plus: a fun round of 'Rapid Fire 15' with the guest, Becky's Deep Cut Slasher of the Week, DEMOLITION MAN, Monty Python, Spike Lee, and more!
