Give Black, part 20: Dr. Nicole A. Cooke.

Dr. Nicole A. Cooke is the Augusta Baker Endowed Chair and an associate professor at UofSC. She was named a "Mover & Shaker" by Library Journal in 2007, awarded the 2016 ALA Equality Award, and presented with the 2017 ALA Achievement in Library Diversity Research Award by the Office for Diversity and Literacy Outreach Services.

The Give Black Podcast-a-Thon was originally recorded during a 12-hour event streamed live on Aug. 28 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Give Black benefitted USC’s One Creed, One Carolina campaign, which supports initiatives that elevate and encourage Black students, faculty and staff. Together, our 5 hosts and over 20 guests helped raise more than $10,000 for the campaign over 12 hours.
