Its Episode 34 of The Podcasting Couch!
My guests this week are Kirsten and Elizabeth, hosts of Your Fave Is Problematic, a podcast where the hosts take their favorite things from tv, movies, and pop culture and ruin it for you. Join these two friends as they discuss the racial, gender, and lgbt issues in our favorite media, and decide if our favorites can stay faves, or if they're just too problematic.
This week we discussed the distinction between criticism and condemnation, how to approach newer social topics with people, how to better yourself socially, and more.
This week's song should be familiar to anyone who is a fan of my guests, I'm Doing Just Fine by Sierra and The Radicals.
Sierra and the Radials sound is a unique mixture between Taylor Swift and Florence + the Machine. The pop band formed in Los Angeles, California consists of Sierra Heuermann, Alex Bowers, Josh Henry and Parker Wilmoth.
Sierra and the Radicals released their EP June 30th, 2016 titled after the single "Somewhere Between Here And There". Winning the Akademia music award for best Pop/Folk song. "Somewhere Between Here And There" EP features 4 of the group’s original songs, artwork and more. The band is now recording their new hit single for the summer “Do You Believe” with Grammy-winning producer Robert Eibach.
Together the band makes an amazing sound that supports emotional connection, catchiness, and uniqueness. Sierra And The Radicals are making an impact with their music and inspiring the world to feel the love that the band emits.
