It's a new month and a new filmmaker! This time we go with someone a bit more known to modern audiences with famed provocateur, Paul Verhoeven. We, as usual, talk a little bit about what we expect from him, but mainly jump in to his first English language movie, FLESH + BLOOD! (Mike is very excited about this one)
We talk a lot about sex and whether or not you could make this movie now, the lack of star power, and the odd grounding and simplicity of it, despite it involving a great deal of nonconsensual sex and plague water.
