I grew up in a Christian home, but I turned away from God and the way of my family. I made decisions, I did things, I went places, I never thought I would.
I imagined that these experiences would bring me enlightenment and satisfaction, but the opposite was true. I became depressed and confused. I was full of shame. I was certain that God wanted nothing to do with me.
But I’ve come to find out that was a lie.
When the darkness became too much, I cried out to God and He heard me. He answered me and He said: “Wendy, I love you. I will lift the shame from your life. I will free you, I will forgive you. Come, let’s walk together.”
