Description

Story medicine for grieving and healing hearts. This episode dives into the grief that accompanies pregnancy loss. I open up about my own miscarriage, sharing the practical events, how I navigated (am navigating) emotions, and how I have connected to my baby and ancestors spiritually throughout the pregnancy and loss.

Losing a pregnancy is a unique kind of loss, traumatic physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The taboo around speaking about miscarriage can make it lonely and isolating and the lack of support in our modern world for people experiencing pregnancy loss means we are pushed to “return to normal”, working and caring for others while still healing our bodies and hearts. This episode is a call for society and community shifts toward support and care. It is a reminder that death and passing is a time when spirit draws near, and while hard, a chance to lean ever closer to our spirit and ancestor connections to honor, cope, and grieve.
