Toby Jenkins is an Associate Professor of Higher Education and Director of the Museum of Education at the University of South Carolina. With a focus on cultural inclusion and belonging in higher education, Jenkins is a national expert on using culture as a tool for social change within educational settings. Having authored five books on the evolving ideologies of culture, family, and education, including "My Culture, My Color, My Self" and "Family, Community, & Higher Education," Jenkins brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Her and Dr. Evans discuss her journey in writing her new book “The Hip-Hop Mindset,” how Hip-Hop influences her current role as an academic and an administrator, and explore the transformative power of cultural inclusion in shaping the educational landscape.
