It's been a hell of a week. From an auction to a broken leg to a death in the family, a perfect storm has set in around me.
In preparing to sell all our possessions for a one year RV trip, I went through every room in my house assessing what to keep and put in storage, what to take with us, and what to sell. It was a painstaking process - one that that took over 20 years to get me to the point where I was ready to do it.
Our pit is much the same. Like a house full of rooms where we've accumulated all our past experiences, at some point we come to a stage in our life where we know it is time to start purging some of the rooms of our pit.
You might not be ready to purge your whole "house", but are you ready to at least assess what's there?
What are the rooms in your pit? Give them a name. Describe the kinds of experiences in that room and how that room in your pit is affecting you today.
