Chewing gum, carpets, tea bags - they all contain these tiny fragments...and therefore, so do we.

There's growing research looking at the links between microplastics and dementia, fertility and certain cancers.

And now a private London clinic has developed a new treatment to remove them from your blood - but does it work?
