Andrea Duran began as a swimmer and only joined softball, after much fighting against it, at the age of 10 years old and fell in love with team relationship of the sport. After a while she realized, through her father, she realized that she could go to college for free! She then made getting a college scholarship her goal and achieved it with an offer at UCLA! While succeeding there she got involved in the USA Jr. team. With her talent and focus she worked hard and made it to the top on the USA Olympic team! Now, Andrea is the director of softball operations at UCLA, still training with the National Team, and plays Pro for the USSSA Pride team!
