A lesson I'm still learning is to soften when the world wants me to toughen up, to treat my emotions as important sparks of data and information, instead of character flaws and personal shortcomings. I have wasted years of my life in relationships, situations and workplaces that were really not good for because I was living with the subconscious belief that I should just be able to take responsibility for the whole mess and make it work.
So if you have been trying to contort yourself into a different you, or trying to turn off what you feel, listen to this episode and try trusting your instincts a little more instead.
