The 1989 Connacht final replay was no ordinary success with Mayo for Liam McHale.
On the night of the drawn game his father passed away and yet after a week of high emotions with the funeral, Liam played the following Sunday in the replay and kicked 0-3 in Mayo's extra-time win over Roscommon.
That's one of the games he selects as our guest this week on Warriors, the GAA podcast for The42 members, and chats through what that experience was like.
We also delve into the 1996 All-Ireland final saga where he was man-of-the-match in the drawn game and sent-off in the replay, before focusing on St Brigid's day of glory in 2013 in a brilliant club final against Ballymun Kickhams.
Plus there's what made Meath so formidable to play against, Karol Mannion's memorable goal and telling a player why he must come off the bench instead of starting an All-Ireland final.
