Shortly after the birth of Jesus, there were a series of Jewish rituals that were undertaken by his parents Mary & Joseph. One of these took place at the Temple in Jerusalem, and marked a moment where the destiny of their little baby would be declared, and the reality of His mission would cause them to soberly reflect on what lay ahead.
