Did Jesus really mean what he said in John 15:5? That "apart from me you can do nothing."
Nothing? What does Jesus mean when he says that we can do nothing apart from him? Or to ask it another way, what does it mean to abide in Christ, to be connected to him like branches to a vine, and have everything we need?
This Sunday we will have the honor of hearing from Rev. Chris Stratton preach on John 15:1-5 and he will bring some clarity to Jesus' teaching on abiding. To prepare for this upcoming sermon take a few minutes to read, meditate on, and pray through this passage and reflect on your union and rest in Jesus.
