Have you ever been fixated on something?
In that moment of fixation you have zero desire to have your attention be diverted. You know what you want and you are going to try and get it. You don’t want anything to to encumber your mission.
The writer of the letter to the Hebrews encourages us to fix our eyes on Jesus. To not let anything divert our attention. This Sunday we have the privilege of hearing from Rev. Matthew Trexler, the new RUF Campus Minister at UCLA, preach on Hebrews 12:1-3. To best prepare for this Sunday’s sermon, spend 5 minutes reading and praying through Hebrews 12:1-3 and ask yourself, what are the biggest things in your life that could possibly divert your attention/fixation from Jesus?
