"Resurrected by the Word" -If a person doesn't respond to the Word of God by faith, they won't receive eternal life. They may be alive physically but they are dead spiritually. Everyone who has responded in faith to the truth that Jesus is the Son of God, God has raised them from the dead. Even though God has given us life, we are commanded to live this new life by faith and we do this by obeying His Word and the Holy Spirit. Those who live by faith will have the ability to see and to hear spiritually. Faith in Jesus gives us access into the realm of the Spirit.
