This morning, Pastor Jermaine continued on with our 1 Peter series with chapter 3: 8-12, titled “Wax or Mud”.
This section of Scripture is centered on suffering; and Peter teaches on how Christians and friends should treat one another. He implores the Christians to be united in both heart and mind. To be sympathetic and compassionate, loving one another.
We need to walk in other people’s shoes, to show practical love and compassion and to put the interests of others ahead of our own. We need to lay down our preferences.
Our response is our responsibility. We must seek peace and pursue it by building great relationships and having healthy conflict in the context of commitment.
We need the Lord to change and soften our hearts; to transform us into His likeness.
