Prodigal God: The Father
The story of the Prodigal Son is a dramatic story of a son destroying his inheritance and desiring the father's forgiveness, which is given to him unconditionally.
This seemingly reckless love of God doesn't sit well with us. It doesn't fit within the constraints of our lists of rules, and so we seek to tame God's wild and unfettered love. In doing so, however, we diminish the Gospel of Jesus.
