Read Revelation carefully and you will be struck by how much is devoted to detailing God's description of, and retributive judgement on, Babylon. Revelation has seven major sections, and two of the seven (4 of 22 chapters) are dedicated to describing what Babylon is, why it must come down, and how it will come down in order for the Kingdom of God to fully rise up!
