Description

We are on week four of a six-week journey of deep reflection as a church. We are on a pilgrimage together discerning God’s heart for us and our future. We are rediscovering our mission to be a community of light in a world facing much darkness.

This weekend, I’ve asked some of our elders to join me in leading us through a weekend of worship, scripture readings, and prayer. The Bible tells us to pray continually (1 Thess 5:17), where two or three are gathered, there Jesus is (Matt 18:20), that if we ask anything according to God’s will, He hears us (1 John 5:14), that in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, we should present our requests to God (Phil 4:6), that God’s house shall be called a house of prayer (Isaiah 56:7). Jesus prayed often and in all kinds of circumstances. He healed people through prayer. The Holy Spirit came upon Him as He was praying. He was transfigured with divine glory as He was praying. In His moments of crises, He prayed. Join us this weekend as we do this together and then commit to a life of worship, scripture reading, and prayer. These are crucial disciplines to experiencing the abundant and flourishing life Jesus promises us. Come prayed up, because God is about to do something in our midst!
