If you look back at your life and focus on the moments that you made some of your biggest mistakes, they were most likely times when you were bored. Bored with nothing to do, bored at work or school, bored relationally, or just bored with life in general. The Old Testament of the Bible closes with the book of Malachi, which talks about the people of that time being bored. But in its final chapter it points to a day of joy and triumph for the righteous (Malachi 4:2-3). A day not filled with boredom, but a day filled with unspeakable joy to the people of God.
On that day, "The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings" (v. 2). The Lord Jesus, who often seems in eclipse, will shine forth in all his brilliance. And his "wings" (rays) will touch all his people, bringing warmth and healing them of all their diseases.
On that day, the people of God will be like calves, who having been released into the sunshine from their dingy stalls, kick up their heels in sheer exuberance. Well, guess what? That day is upon us and available to us right here, right now! Join us as we talk together about how we can go from boredom to living a life of fullness, always living in anticipation of what’s next. Living your best life! Something big is about to happen. You don’t want to miss it!
