Dear Family and Friends,
Over the past several weeks, we have been looking at some of the stories in Judges of people who God used to rescue and bring relief to Israel in times of oppression. We've already seen that God doesn't choose leaders based on human calculations - and that is good news for all of us. In fact, the further we get into the Judges, the clearer we see that the real hero is God - and he can call up and empower and work through anyone.
Join us this week as we look at the story of Jephthah - a man who God works through to rescue Israel, even though he has some serious flaws. And we will see that God is moving his story forward, remaining faithful to his people, even when there is a lot of confusion and chaos. Because God's story is ultimately about his faithfulness to us - a faithfulness and commitment that has been there from the very beginning.
