Description

Jesus proclaimed the gospel by announcing the coming of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 4:17). And then in the Sermon on the Mount (the teaching of Jesus found in Matthew chapters 5-7), Jesus used word pictures and real life analogies to illustrate what life looks like for someone who is part of His kingdom.

Jesus was not establishing a new form of rules-based religion. Rather, He described His kingdom’s values, ethical standards, and attitudes relating to anger, money, hatred, worry, prayer, sexuality, and relationships with others.

The Sermon on the Mount is the closest thing to a manifesto that Jesus stated. And the people were left amazed (Matthew 7:28). Let's discover together what life in the Kingdom of God looks like—a blessed and abundant life. If we pay close attention to it, we too will be left amazed!
