Most people seem to have a plan on how life ought to go—from point A to point B. We hope and expect it will be a gradual, mostly comfortable, fairly rewarding journey with no major side trips. Then the unthinkable happens. An unexpected detour leads us to live life the other way. We've been on a six-week journey as a church to love God more faithfully, follow God more trustfully, and listen to God more mindfully. Each week, we are looking at one character from the Bible and learning how they coped with a difficult phase in their lives and came out strong. This weekend, we will conclude our series by looking at a lot of biblical characters who ended up living life the other way. And the valuable lessons they learned about hope, courage, and faith.
