It’s for FREEDOM that CHRIST set us FREE! Galatians 5:1
Every person and culture has to decide right and wrong for themselves. Which creates spaces with a lot of rules. Which creates a lot of people who want to be rule breakers. When God created the world there was only one rule. The one rule was God’s way of giving people the choice of making Him the authority in their lives. The tangible way God did that was by telling people not to eat the fruit of one particular tree. But at the heart of that rule was the heart of the people that rule was given to. Would they submit to God’s authority, or would they choose to be their own authority?
God is all about freedom and knew that we could never be truly free without Him. We tend to think of freedom as being independent from any restrictions, but the truth is we need restrictions to be truly free.
Join us for part 2 in our series “The Reason for God” entitled: Why are there so many rules. We will look at where true freedom really comes from and how we can live in that freedom that Christ provides in the here and the now as well as forever. Living life to the fullest!
