This message is deep verse by verse study through Hebrews. The writer warns the reader in Hebrews 5 of the depth and importance of Melchizedek. By Chapter 7, the Holy Spirit finds it fit to go into this depth. The importance of Melchizedek comes to the conclusion that Jesus is the Superior High Priest, which is directly applicable to the born-again Christian. We do not have to go through a priest, prophet or pastor to have fellowship with God, but we have fellowship because Jesus is our Great High Priest.
