Today’s passage begins with the death of the Shunammite woman’s promised son. Her response to his death is surprising; “All is well.” Is this a lie? Is deception masking her true feelings? How can she respond this way in her grief? She had a core belief that allowed her to focus on pursuing the “man of God.” What does this look like for us? How do we declare, “all is well” during times of immense pain and stress?
