Often times, we make knowledge ultimate. Meaning we place knowledge as the highest achievement. Knowledge is good. But left alone, knowledge puffs up. Knowledge can never replace service. In one of the most eloquent examples of humility Jesus knows his mission and shows his disciples the full extent of his love as he washes their feet. And it is about so much more than washing feet. The question he asked 2000 years ago stills rings loud today, “Do you understand what I have done for you?”
