The transfiguration of Jesus pulled back the curtain for Peter, James, and John. They caught a glimpse of glory and power. It is interesting to note that while Jesus is overcoming the demonic world, predicting his suffering and death, endorsing ministry, and calling each of his disciples to wage war against their own personal sin, they are busy arguing with one another as to who was the greatest. True power comes from above and reaches down.
