Isaiah is the 1st of the Major Prophets and is one of the most important books in your Old Testament. And here's the kicker; this prophecy of the coming of Jesus Christ was written by Isaiah some 700 years before that 1st Christmas.
It was a time of gloom, despair, and exile. And to a people in that place, due to their hard-heartedness and rebellion against God, God in his kindness writes to them a message of hope. Specifically of who was to come that 1st Christmas morning.
