“The Gospel According to Job” is the title of the fourth sermon in our series, “Making Sense of Suffering.” In response to his friends’ remarks in Chapter 8, Job offers remarkable observations in Chapter 9 about the character of God. Despite the fact that Job lived before any portion of God’s Word might have been in his possession, his statements reveal a man who had a well formulated theology of who God is - giving him a firm foundation on which to stand during the time of his suffering.
