This week's sermon comes from Colossians 3:12-4:1. Paul continues his writing to the Colossians with a call to be clothed in the characteristics of Jesus - a type of wardrobe that is utterly different from the one we have been instructed to ‘put off’ in the preceding verses. The clothing of Christ requires a different posture altogether from our natural, human tendencies. Clothing yourself in the nature of Jesus requires you to become small. Paul shows us how this move to become small actually magnifies Christ as it lifts others up.
