Today's message comes from Mark 2:1-12. Mark's story of the paralytic man and his encounter with Jesus is designed to emphasize both Jesus' powerful action and his ultimate authority. While the physical rescue this man experienced was of the most amazing variety, it was actually the spiritual rescue Jesus offered that was the more amazing miracle. That same offer of rescue - of forgiveness of sins and restored relationship with God - is made available to us through Jesus Christ today.
