In eternity, will the existence of believers be just spiritual, or will we have bodies of some kind? And if we will have bodies, what will they be like? In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul gives an extensive response to these questions. He clarifies that, yes, eternity will be an “embodied” experience. Though we cannot possibly imagine all that God has in store, Paul teaches that our new bodies will be (1) unimaginably amazing and (2) essential to participate in God’s promises.
