There is almost no better way to find out who someone is than when pressure is applied. Pressure is a great way to find out who you really are vs who you think you are. In our passage, everyone is under pressure but no one more so than Jesus as he faces his impending arrest and death. At this meal meant to honour Jesus, we get a glimpse of who Jesus is under pressure. We find that he cares, he is generous, and he is not rushed.
