What happened when ten lepers saw Jesus? While remaining at a “safe” distance they lifted up their voices to cry out loudly for mercy. They wanted Jesus to give them what they didn’t deserve… healing. In response, our merciful Lord showed them mercy by cleansing them of their leprosy. One of the ten former lepers wasn’t content with just returning to his “normal” pre-leprosy life, he turned back praising God with a loud voice and fell at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. In looking at this man’s response we find what is to be our response to God’s marvelous mercy.
