What does it look like to follow Jesus in a world that often pulls us in the opposite direction? In this five-week series on 1 Peter, we’re walking through a chapter a week as we explore how hope in Christ gives us the strength to live differently—set apart in holiness, anchored in something unshakable, no matter what comes our way.
This week, we look at what may be one of the most controversial and confusing passages in the Bible in 1 Peter 3. But, as we remember the overall point of Peter’s letter - our hope for the future changes how we live today - we see in this chapter that because of our hope in God: 1) We're called to holiness in our marriages, 2) We're called to holiness in our words, and 3) We have been brought to God.
