In this message, we’re picking up where we left off last week as we begin 2024 “with the end in mind” - not just of the year, but of our lives here on earth, because “Eternity Matters.” As Christians, we know that there is life after death, and we can have the hope of spending eternity with God in Heaven IF we understand what it means to be saved.
So, in this series, we’re breaking down the three major aspects of salvation described in the theological terms of: justification, sanctification, and glorification. In this message, we’re looking at the second part: sanctification. We’re answering the question, “Now that we have been justified by faith in Jesus, how then should we live as His followers for the rest of our lives?” In other words, “Now what?” If we want to know the answer to that question, and really understand sanctification, we need to understand 1) what happens to us, 2) what happens in us, and 3) what happens through us as we are becoming more and more holy, like Jesus.
